Text of the hadith

6 – It is reported from ‘Ubaidullah ibn ‘Abdullah that Ibn ‘Abbas said:

The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was the most generous of the people, and he was most generous in Ramadan when he met Jibril, and he met him every night of Ramadan, teaching him the Quran, and for this reason the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was more generous in all good things than free wind.

Comments and interpretations

Hafiz Ibn Rajab said: This hadith indicates the desirability of gathering to study the Quran in Ramadan. Also in the hadith there is an indication of increased reading of the Quran during the month of Ramadan.

Our Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) The most generous of men. In the hadith, the urge to be generous in all things (property, time, diligence, soul) and at all times. In the hadith the urge to be more generous in the month of Ramadan. In the hadeeth there is an urge to visit the righteous. Permission to make a visit multiple times, if there is a Shariah reason. In the hadith, the urge to study and repeat knowledge together In Hadith, the urge to recite the Quran, especially in the month of Ramadan The right to say the word Ramadan without using the word month. Some Madhhab books speak of the undesirability of this. The Qur’an began in the month of Ramadan. And for this reason Imam al-Bukhari quoted this hadith in the chapter: “On the beginning of revelations.”.
