The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) began with a good vision[1] in a dream, and he never saw any visions other than those that came like the dawn.[2] Then he was inspired to love solitude, and he began to retire often in a cave on Mount Hira[3], where he practiced deeds of piety, which was expressed in worship (Allah) for many nights, until he had a desire to return to his family. He would usually take all the supplies he needed[4] and then return to Khadijah[5] and take whatever he needed for a new retreat. The truth was revealed to him when he was in the cave of Hira. An angel came to him and said, “Read!” and he said, “I cannot read.” ? '

Then he took me and squeezed me so that I strained to the limit, and then he let me go and said again: “Read!” I said, "I can't read!" He squeezed me a second time so that I (again) strained to the limit, and then let me go and said, “Read!” and I (again) said, “I can’t read!” Then he squeezed me a third time and then let me go and said, Read in the name of your Lord, who created man from a clot. Read, but your Lord is most generous.[6] ] '

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) returned with this and went to Khadijah bint Huwailid (may Allah be pleased with her) and said, “Cover me, cover me.” They hid him until his fear was over, and he told her, “I was afraid for myself.” Khadijah said, "No, no!" By Allah, Allah will never cover you with shame, for you keep in touch with your relatives, help bear the burden and provide for the poor, give people hospitality and help them endure the hardships of fate. Then Khadijah went out with him and brought him to his home a cousin of Barakya ibn Naufal ibn Asad ibn 'Abd al-'Uzze, who in the era of Jahiliyyah[7] converted to Christianity, used the writing of the Jews [8] for his writings, wrote out from the Gospel what Allah pleased, and (by that time) was already a deep blind old man. Khadijah said to him, “O son of my uncle, listen to your nephew!” The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) asked him, “O nephew, what do you see?” and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) informed him of what he had seen. Waraqa said: This is the same angel whom Allah sent to Moses. If only I were young and could live to see your people cast you out. Messenger of Allah, yes he said, “Shall they cast me out?” Barak'a said, "Yes, for whenever a person comes with something like what you have brought with him, they have always been at odds with him, but if I live to this day, [9] I will help you as soon as I can." However, Barak'a soon died, and the revelations temporarily ceased
