Ibn ‘Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was always tense during the revelation, which made him move his lips.[2]
And I will move my lips as the Messenger of Allah did, may Allah bless him. '
And Allah has sent down, ‘Do not move your tongue,’ to hasten it. Indeed, it is for us to gather and recite it.[4]
Ibn ‘Abbas said: ‘To gather it for you in your heart so that you can read it.’
6 And when We have read it, follow it. '
“[That means] listen to him carefully.”.
He said, “We have to make it clear.” ''[8]
“This means, furthermore, We must make it so that you read it.” The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) always listened to Jibril when he came to him, and after Jibril had left, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) recited the verses of the Qur’an as he had read them. '
He is also cited by Muslim (448), al-Nasai (2/149), Ibn Hibban (39). See also Saheeh al-Nasai (934).
The benefits derived from this hadith: '
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) wants to learn what he has learned from knowledge.
